One of The Skills Company’s brightest talents is celebrating after being honoured at the Made in Manchester Awards 2017.

The event, organised by future-pro Manchester and held at the Hilton Hotel, Deansgate, commends the best of Manchester’s business talent under 35.

Roman Dibden from The Skills Company won the Recruitment Professional of the Year award, and was then chosen from all the individual winners to take the Chairman’s Rising Star Award.  Roman, who works on the company’s schools engagement team, was commended by the judges for his role as an ambassador for other apprentices, and acting as a shining role model for young students facing challenges in the Manchester area.  They added that they were astounded by his passion and felt as though he was a stand-out candidate.

Jayne Worthington Managing Director of The Skills Company said:  “All of the staff at The Skills Company are immensely proud of Roman’s achievements.  The fact that Roman began his own career as an apprentice means that he is able to give a truly inspirational message to young people across Greater Manchester about how apprenticeships can change people’s lives.  He is a driven by strong values and the desire to succeed and I know he has an incredibly bright future in front of him. I consider us lucky to have him as part of our team - in fact Roman exemplifies the term 'rising star’.”
