The Higher Skills team from The Skills Company hosted the very first Higher Skills Business and Management awards evening on Thursday 8th September at Churchgate House in Manchester city centre.

The event was organised to honour graduates of the Staffordshire University Foundation Degree in Business Management and graduates from the Staffordshire University BA (Hons) top-up in Business Management and to celebrate with them on completion of their studies.

Graduates were nominated by their tutors to receive an award to give praise and recognition for hard work and achievements throughout their degree and to acknowledge the challenges of combining fulltime careers with part time study. The evening celebrated all those students who had recently finished their degrees or are due to graduate in summer 2017.

Of the 40 successful graduates, several employees from The Skills Company were in attendance to celebrate their own achievements along with their families and friends. Along with commending successful graduates, the event included a special recognition awards section to acknowledge particularly outstanding achievements such as best group assignment, consistently high achiever, outstanding piece of work and recognition of workplace application.
