Growth Company apprentice Ethan Garside received runner-up for ACR Trainee of the Year Award - Tom Griffiths and Charlie Eidsforth also were nominated for the award and were amongst the 10 finalists. The award, ACR Trainee of the Year celebrates the talent and achievements of apprentices and trainees in the air conditioning and refrigeration sector.

“They have produced work consistently of the highest standard in both practical elements and theoretical assignments submitted. Above all they have demonstrated commitment to their chosen industry and we wish them all well for the future.”

Ethan Garside from Allcool (NW) said about his nomination: “I am extremely proud and happy that the College thought I was worthy of a nomination for the ACR Trainee of the Year Awards. I have worked extremely hard to get to this point and feel that this wouldn’t have been possible without the support of my company, Allcool (NW) Ltd, PRTC Training Centre and The Growth Company. I am very grateful for the support that was given to me over my apprenticeship. This has helped me grow into a confident and skilled engineer.”
