Spanning boundaries

There are important factors to consider when managing projects that involve non-directees. If you have any influence over who gets to be in your team, use it! Your credibility depends on the results of the project and that in turn largely depends on the performance of your team, and you as a project manager too, of course. This workshop looks at the discipline to be followed and how to plan and communicate the expectations at the outset to ensure that the project stays on track. 

Plan realistic time-scales, in order to stay on time and in control

Successful project teams understand that projects move through four clear phases. This allows them to remain in control of the project from the beginning to end – achieving their aims and objectives, with ease.

Anticipate, and deal successfully with problems and the unexpected

The best project teams are never wrong-footed by the unexpected. They achieve this by developing a framework at the very start that covers the key areas of managing projects and stick to them.
