Course Overview

Basic Overview:

  •          18 month programme
  •          5 Level 6 modules
  •          Wednesday evening class at The Skills Company,
             Oxford Street, Manchester: 5.30pm – 7.30pm
  •          Validated by University of Bolton
  •          Progression route for relevant Foundation Degree programmes

 Course Content:

Students will complete the following modules:

  •          The Illusion of Inclusion
  •          Global Perspectives on Education
  •          Investigating English Language
  •          Leadership and Management in the Early Years
  •          Dissertation

Typically, each module has one assignment of around 4,000 – 5,000 words with the exception of the Dissertation which is a 10,000 word project on a topic of the students choosing.  Each module is taught for around 12 weeks with the exception of the Dissertation which is around 24 weeks in length.

Every lecturer involved within the programme has a high level of academic qualification and experience, students can be assured that they will experience engaging and thought provoking lectures of a high academic quality.  Throughout the programme students will encounter different lecturers who are assigned to modules based upon their academic knowledge and experience.  Whilst undertaking the Dissertation, students will be assigned to a supervisor who has the knowledge and skill to guide them through their chosen area of research.  The programme as a whole is overseen by a Programme Leader who is responsible for all staff and students involved within the programme.

Tuition Fees:

All students are eligible to apply for a tuition fee loan from Student Finance England.  Students apply for the loan each year they are on programme; repayments begin once the student has completed the programme and only when earning over £21,000 per annum.
